Lazio agree final Casadei details with Chelsea ahead of medical | OneFootball

According to Sportitalia, Lazio have agreed the final details of their €13m plus add-ons deal for Chelsea midfielder Cesare Casadei and can now organise his medical.

The clubs had effectively shaken hands on the basic premise over the weekend, after fighting off competition from fellow Serie A side Torino.

The Italy Under-21 international always seemed to have a preference for Lazio on what will be his return to Serie A, since leaving Inter for €15m plus add-ons in the summer of 2022.

Sportitalia transfer pundit Alfredo Pedullà assures today’s meeting worked out the final details, so it will be €13m plus a 25 per cent cut of the future transfer fee.

Crucially to help Lazio balance the books, this is a free six-month loan with obligation to buy that will be activated with some very easy to achieve conditions.

After exchanging documentation, Casadei can fly out to Rome for his medical tests.

The midfielder turned 22 earlier this month and is eager to get his debut for the senior Italy squad.
