Lazio are pushing to sign Hellas Verona forward Giovane and may have to accelerate negotiations, with Napoli considering a move. According to The Laziali, the capital club face growing competition.

The 22-year-old Brazilian is a versatile attacker across the front line. He joined the Gialloblu last summer and has emerged as a standout this season, including a fine goal against Inter at the Bentegodi.

Maurizio Sarri is said to have approved the pursuit, with Giovane viewed as the right profile to strengthen his attack. A possible swap has been discussed that would see Reda Belahyane return to Verona.

Talks between the clubs have been ongoing for the past three days, with further movement anticipated by Friday. Lazio plan to press ahead regardless of whether Belahyane is included.

Napoli have been monitoring Giovane since November and recently made a fresh enquiry for information. They are working within zero-cost parameters this month, which restricts their flexibility.

Napoli are expected to send Noa Lang to Galatasaray on loan with an option to buy, so any deal for Giovane would likely need similar terms. Lazio are still seen as holding the edge but must act quickly.
