Lazio ‘to wait’ on AC Milan’s Santiago Gimenez over Broja | OneFootball

Lazio are prioritising AC Milan striker Santiago Gimenez, and could bide their time instead of moving for Armando Broja.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Broja is on their radar but the club are not keen to sign him now, preferring to wait for openings in the coming weeks, above all Gimenez, a profile admired by Gennaro Gattuso. Separately, Alfredo Pedulla notes that any approach for the Mexico international remains complicated.

The 25-year-old has been tracked since his Feyenoord days. He joined Milan for €30 million in January 2025 and has struggled at San Siro. After Goncalo Ramos arrived from Paris Saint-Germain, he may be surplus under Ruben Amorim.

The 24-year-old Broja, an Albania international who came through Chelsea, is coming off a difficult season at Burnley. He scored one goal in 24 Premier League matches.

Lazio are operating to a net-zero transfer brief, so an outright purchase now looks unlikely. It is unclear whether Milan would accept an initial loan.
