Lazio midfielder Mattéo Guendouzi has firmly dismissed transfer speculation linking him away from the club, including strong interest from Sunderland—insisting his attention is solely on his current commitments in Rome.

Speaking to DAZN following Lazio’s victory against Lecce, the French international addressed questions about his future head-on, via TuttoMercatoWeb.

Guendouzi made it clear that despite the persistent noise surrounding him, he remains committed to the team’s current journey. Responding to a question about whether his comments were a response to the transfer rumours, he stated: “For me, we are all focused on the present, we are united and that’s good.“

The midfielder, who recently celebrated a milestone of having played 100 times for the Roman club, emphasized his strong desire to continue performing for Lazio.

He said: “For me it’s a good thing because I’ve played more than a hundred games in just two and a half years, but I want to play again with this shirt and score more goals and more wins with the team. For me it’s the most important thing.” His statement firmly places his priorities on the pitch in the immediate term, rather than on potential moves away.
