Leeds confirm Isaac Schmidt exit to Young Boys with £two million fee mooted | OneFootball

Leeds United have confirmed the permanent departure of Isaac Schmidt to BSC Young Boys, with the fee undisclosed, though yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk understands it is around £two million.

The 26-year-old full-back returns to Switzerland after limited opportunities at Elland Road, making only two starts under Daniel Farke and 14 appearances during the Championship title-winning campaign.

He spent 2025/26 on loan at Werder Bremen, featuring 19 times as the Bundesliga side opted against a permanent move. Leeds thanked him and wished him well.

As one defender leaves, Sassuolo centre-back Tarik Muharemovic is flying into the region today to complete his medical and sign paperwork for a transfer to Leeds.

A £34m agreement with Sassuolo was reached earlier this week and the club are now finalising their second summer addition. Muharemovic will come in to replace Pascal Struijk, who earlier this summer joined Brighton for £20m.
