Leeds to face Chelsea in FA Cup semi-finals after West Ham shootout thriller

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Leeds United will face Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-finals after edging West Ham on penalties. The tie follows a dramatic quarter-final at West Ham.

Daniel Farke’s side were 2-0 up heading into added time, only for West Ham to strike twice to force extra time at 2-2.

The shootout settled it, with Pascal Struijk converting the decisive kick. The semi-final draw was held 15 minutes after full time.

Manchester City and Championship Southampton completed the last-four line-up, Southampton having knocked out Arsenal on Saturday night. City, now strong favourites after Arsenal’s exit, will play Southampton for a place in the final.

Both semi-finals will be staged at Wembley on April 25 and April 26. Leeds’ Premier League trip to Bournemouth, initially scheduled for the Saturday at 3pm, will be moved to the previous midweek.
