Leeds United will host RB Leipzig at Elland Road on Saturday 8 August at 2pm, the first of two pre-season home friendlies while development work continues.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Leeds have confirmed the fixture and the West Stand will be closed for both friendlies.

Leeds will also head to the United States this summer to face Sunderland, Wrexham and Liverpool, then travel to Dublin later in the summer to meet bitter rivals Manchester United.

Leeds expect to announce a second home friendly for the following weekend.

Leipzig are a familiar name for Leeds supporters due to the legal dispute that followed Jean-Kevin Augustin's ill fated transfer.

Ticket details will be confirmed in due course.
