Leeds United have agreed a deal to sign Harry Wilson on a free transfer, a move that would mean Liverpool’s 15 per cent sell-on clause does not pay out. According to Leeds Live, the Fulham winger is set for a medical before the switch is finalised.

Wilson came through Liverpool’s academy and made two first-team appearances under Jurgen Klopp. He joined Fulham on loan in 2021, then completed a permanent move to Craven Cottage.

The 29-year-old made 187 appearances under Marco Silva. Last season he produced his best return, scoring 10 Premier League goals and adding seven assists, prompting calls for a Liverpool reunion.

Liverpool inserted the 15 per cent clause when sanctioning his £12m exit.

Wilson’s Fulham contract expires next week and he will join Daniel Farke’s side once paperwork is signed. He also strengthens Leeds’ Welsh core.

Several clubs were linked before he chose Leeds, and Fulham had attempted to tie him to a new deal that could have preserved Liverpool’s sell-on upside. Transfermarkt values Wilson at £21.55m, a price that would have delivered £3.23m to Anfield under the clause.

Leeds tried to land him on deadline day last summer but the move collapsed. His imminent arrival is a coup for Leeds, adding proven Premier League experience to Farke’s squad.
