Bookmakers expect contrasting fortunes for Leeds United, with the FA Cup quarter-final tilting towards West Ham yet survival markets leaning Leeds’ way with seven league games to play. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the latest prices point to a potential last laugh for the Whites in the relegation battle.

Leeds return from the international break with that FA Cup tie at West Ham, a 4.30pm kick-off at the London Stadium on Sunday, April 5. Their league campaign resumes on the second Monday in April, away to Manchester United at Old Trafford at 8pm.

Early odds for the quarter-final are tight, with West Ham best priced at 29-20 and Leeds at 9-5, while the draw is 13-5. To progress, the Irons are 4-5, with Leeds at evens.

West Ham occupy the third relegation place, four points behind 15th-placed Leeds. In what is viewed as a four-way fight to avoid 18th, the Irons are rated third favourites to go down at a best priced 5-4, with Burnley and Wolves both 1-200 and seen as virtually down.

Spurs’ price has shortened, as low as 5-4 with some firms and up to 9-5 with others, shorter than both Nottingham Forest and Leeds, who have received fresh backing. After a 3-0 win at Tottenham at the weekend, Forest are out to 13-2 to be relegated, with Leeds at a best priced 8-1. There is then a large gap to Crystal Palace at 200-1, and wider still to Sunderland and Brighton at 500s.
