Leeds United spent almost £14m on agent fees across their first season back in the Premier League, contributing to a top-flight total of £460.3m.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, an FA report records Leeds paid £13,990,935 between four February 2025 and two February 2026, around three percent of the division’s outlay, ranking 14th.
49ers Enterprises have backed Daniel Farke’s rebuild, investing roughly £100m in eight first-team signings and adding free agents Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Luks Nmecha. Eight-figure fees brought in Anton Stach, Noah Okafor and Jaka Bijol, while January saw Facundo Buonanotte arrive on loan.
Chelsea led spending on intermediaries at £65,102,247. Manchester City were next on £37,358,301, and Arsenal, Aston Villa, Liverpool and Manchester United also exceeded £30m.
Among newly promoted sides, Leeds’ near £14m was the highest. Sunderland paid just over £10m, while Burnley’s £7.3m was the lowest in the league, with Everton just under £10m.
The report lists transactions, with Leeds using three intermediaries in the £18m move for Okafor from AC Milan. Two agents were involved in registering Calvert-Lewin as a free agent, and two were linked to Buonanotte’s loan. All other arrivals required one payment.
Payments also covered academy and contract work, including updates for Sam Chambers, Rory Mahady and Josh McDonald. Daniel James’ July extension included a fee to his representative.
Agent fees count toward Profitability and Sustainability calculations, though these payments will fall into the 2025/26 accounts due next year. Leeds have reported a pre-tax loss of £49.2m for 2024/25.
