Leeds United host Manchester City at Elland Road on Saturday in a major Premier League test. The Whites drew 1-1 at Aston Villa last time out, making it two defeats in their last 14 league games.
City have lost once in their last 15 top-flight matches, a run that began with their 3-2 win in the reverse fixture. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Leeds have only one injury absentee in Noah Okafor and a predicted XI has been sketched out. The 5.30pm February kick-off should bring the floodlights into play.
In goal, Karl Darlow recovered from his Arsenal blunder and has been steady since. He impressed at Villa and could do little about the equaliser.
At centre-back, Joe Rodon could maybe have won the first contact for Villa’s leveller but was otherwise excellent. Jaka Bijol is tipped to replace James Justin and could relish the physical battle with Erling Haaland.
Pascal Struijk returned from injury at Villa and slotted back in smoothly. On the right, Jayden Bogle will likely defend more than attack but will surge forward when possible, and could trouble City if he is not tracked.
Farke has called City one of the world’s best teams, yet Leeds welcome them to West Yorkshire confident they can get something.
