Daniel Farke keeps Leeds United in a three-five-two for Brentford this afternoon, naming his starting XI. According to Leeds Live, the set-up follows recent success with the system.

Lukas Nmecha has already been ruled out of Thursday and is not due back in team training until next week after a hamstring issue, so Dominic Calvert-Lewin again partners Noah Okafor up front.

The back line is unchanged. Jayden Bogle and Gabriel Gudmundsson occupy the flanks, with Joe Rodon and Pascal Struijk either side of Jaka Bijol. Lucas Perri starts in goal, still chasing a first clean sheet since August.

Ao Tanaka returns for Ilia Gruev after scoring in each of his past two matches. Anton Stach joins him in midfield alongside captain Ethan Ampadu, who makes his 100th Leeds appearance and is one booking away from suspension.

Sean Longstaff and Daniel James remain long-term absentees. Wilfried Gnonto and Brenden Aaronson are among the substitutes. Starting XI: Perri in goal, a back three of Rodon, Bijol and Struijk, wing-backs Bogle and Gudmundsson, midfield of Stach, Ampadu and Tanaka, with Calvert-Lewin and Okafor up front. Subs: Darlow, Byram, Justin, Bornauw, Gruev, Harrison, Aaronson, Gnonto, Piroe.
