Leeds United transfer latest on James Trafford, Shea Charles and Julian Brandt | OneFootball

Leeds United remain in talks for James Trafford after Enzo Maresca offered no renewed route to minutes at Manchester City, with Gianluigi Donnarumma staying number one.

According to Leeds Live, Trafford wants to succeed Jordan Pickford for England and knows he must be a club number one to advance that aim. Leeds could offer that for years ahead.

Leeds have hit their ceiling on Shea Charles, lodging an improved but final bid to Southampton amid slower-than-hoped talks. The undisclosed offer will stay active all window, but they will not go higher.

Leeds await Julian Brandt’s next move, with talks covering role, project and wages. His father and agent, Jurgen, met senior staff at Thorp Arch last week during several Premier League visits, and Leeds remain in the frame.

Jack Harrison is expected to complete a switch to MLS side New England Revolution, with a medical imminent and a small fee involved.

Other unwanted players are set to be sold despite Max Wober’s deal being terminated. He had 12 months left and clauses meant a low-fee sale risked costing Leeds.

Largie Ramazani and Joe Gelhardt were left out of the United States tour and will depart in due course, on loan or permanently. Lucas Perri could follow.

Leeds will not let Perri go until a new goalkeeper, Trafford or otherwise, is signed. Torino are keen and, with Perri tied down to 2029, are expected to propose a loan including an option or an obligation to buy once a new number one arrives.
