Leeds United have withdrawn their invitation to former owner Andrea Radrizzani for the West Ham United game at Elland Road on Friday, according to the Daily Mail.

Leeds initially invited the Italian businessman for the Premier League game but were not pleased with his decision to reveal details of his return to the media earlier this month.

The Whites have told Radrizzani that disclosing details of his Leeds return was unnecessary.

They have since informed him that it would be better for him to come visiting at a yet-to-be-ascertained time.

The former Whites owner has not been to Elland Road since he sold them after their relegation to the Championship at the end of 2022-23.

49ers Enterprises bought his 56 per cent stake in Leeds for £170 million, and chairman Paraag Marathe had initially invited him to watch Friday’s game in the Directors’ Box.

Radrizzani and Marathe have been in touch and it appears he turned down an invitation to come watch the club while they were in the Championship.

The 51-year-old has divided opinion as some Leeds fans have often abused him on social media for some of his decisions he made while he was the chairman of the club.

He might not have received a positive reaction from the home supporters had he been allowed to show up on Friday.

Leeds are looking to bounce back from an underwhelming run of results following back-to-back Premier League defeats and just two wins in eight league games.

West Ham have been struggling too, with just a win so far in nine games across all competitions, and the Whites would fancy their chances of getting a result against them.

A win will come in handy for manager Daniel Farke and his squad, and the fans will be hoping they pick up all three points as some of them are already concerned about their survival chances.
