Leeds United host Fulham on Saturday eyeing three points, with four players set to draw focus, not least Facundo Buonanotte.
According to Leeds Live, Marco Silva’s team are unbeaten in six across all competitions, while Leeds have lost just one of their past nine. They are winless in the Premier League since the 4-1 over Crystal Palace five games ago. Fulham will be without Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey as they contest the AFCON third-place play-off this weekend.
Buonanotte has only just arrived at Thorp Arch and, having met the midday Friday deadline, is technically eligible. He has managed 45 Premier League minutes this season, plus three Champions League games and four cup outings, so a bench role at most seems likely.
Daniel Farke is expected to persist with Lucas Perri despite criticism of recent errors against Manchester United and Newcastle United. Some supporters want Karl Darlow recalled amid groans over Perri’s distribution, so his response will be under scrutiny.
Leeds pursued Rodrigo Muniz in the summer but he remains out after hamstring surgery, while Harry Wilson, another deadline-day target, has six goals and four assists in his last 12.
Jayden Bogle is fit after three games out with a calf issue, leaving a call at right wing-back. James Justin has impressed, scoring in the FA Cup at Derby County on Sunday, and could keep his place before Everton.
