Leicester City beat Bristol City 2-0 at home to rise from 22nd to 21st in the Championship.
Ben Nelson headed the opener in the 13th minute, meeting Jordan James's clipped cross after a set piece.
Stephy Mavididi struck the right post (24.). Moments later, Abdul Fatawu drilled in from a tight angle after Bobby Decordova-Reid's pass (28.).
After the restart, City earned a penalty when Emil Riis Jakobsen drew a foul (63.). Jakub Stolarczyk dived right to save the striker's effort (65.).
The Foxes registered 17 attempts, with five on target. City saw more of the ball at 58.2% possession but produced only one effort on target.
