On this Tuesday afternoon, we examine a recent Leicester City transfer rumour. The Foxes are said to be willing to sign some players - but only on loan. That's if we trust multiple reports in the media. However, LCFC boss Ruud van Nistelrooy did recently confirm that funds are also available for further signings.

Although, that statement from the boss emerged before the King Power club spent the relatively small sum of £3 million on Woyo Coulibaly. Will the east Midlands outfit spend for more additions? Or will temporary arrivals only materialise? The Blue Army are desperate for new faces in the squad. And you really can't blame fans for their frustrations.

Apparently the Filbert Way side are, happily, still looking for recruits. The latest link was published this morning. It is claimed City are eyeing one versatile Premier League fullback. And we believe this would finally be the player to oust the, at times, woeful James Justin. Is Tariq Lamptey on his way to Leicestershire? And is it indeed a good potential deal for Leicester?

Leicester City want right back capable of ousting struggling James Justin

Justin's struggles have been well-publicised this season. Being at fault for, realistically. in excess of 10 conceded goals in the EPL is astounding, to be honest. While I wanted the England international removed from the starting lineup, I did feel for him a bit.

Southampton full back Kyle Walker-Peters was connected with a move to the King Power earlier this month. Though a superior attacking right back is now linked with Leicester as well. He is Brighton & Hove Albion defender Tariq Lamptey.

I rate Lamptey; he first caught the attention of many debuting for Chelsea in December 2019. Around five years later he is slightly stagnating with the Seagulls.

A chance to play for the Foxes and improve on Justin's exploits could be similarly ideal for Lamptey. Here is the speculation about the latter, who can be deployed as a left back too:

"Leicester are plotting a move for Brighton defender Tariq Lamptey, sources have told Football Insider.Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side are looking to bolster their defensive options before the close of the transfer window on 3 February.Lamptey, 24, is in the final six months of his contract at Brighton and Leicester are hoping they can persuade the Seagulls to cash in on the Ghana international."
