Lennart Karl has become the youngest player to score in three consecutive Champions League matches.
According to L'Équipe, the German playmaker did so at 17 years and 290 days, bettering Kylian Mbappé, who was 18 years and 113 days when he achieved the same run in 2017.
He scored in the 4-0 win over Club Bruges on 22 October. He did not feature at the Parc des Princes on matchday four, a 1-2 defeat, so that fixture does not count towards the statistic. He then netted in the 1-3 loss at Arsenal on 26 November and again in Tuesday’s 3-1 victory against Sporting.
Against Sporting he operated as No 10 behind Harry Kane, completed 96% of his passes, scored and struck the post.
Aged 17, Karl has appeared in 21 of Bayern’s 23 matches this season.
