Flamengo announced on Wednesday that Leonardo Jardim has signed a two-year contract running to December 2027. He will be unveiled on Thursday at CT Ninho do Urubu, then speak to the media.
The appointment followed the dismissal of Filipe Luís. Jardim has quickly set about preparations for the Carioca final.

He led his first training session on Wednesday, with the squad working again on Thursday morning.
Two further sessions on Friday and Saturday will help decide his starting XI.
Flamengo face Fluminense this Sunday at 18:00 Brasília time at the Maracanã, marking Jardim’s debut on the touchline.
