Over the past few months, there has been considerable speculation regarding the future of Leroy Sané at Bayern Munich.
With the 28-year-old’s deal at the Allianz Arena set to expire at the end of the campaign, there has been uncertainty surrounding whether Sané will sign a contract extension at Der Rekordmiester or look for a move away from Germany.
Should the latter come to fruition, then the Premier League would be Sané’s likely destination, with Arsenal and Manchester United showing the most interest in the forward.
However, in a recent interview with Sport Bild (via @MiaSanMia), the former Manchester City winger clarified whether he would be interested in returning to the Premier League:
“I have a fondness for the league and still follow certain games on TV. But the attraction for me lies in the club where I can show my best performance, develop, and win titles. I have that at FC Bayern. This is where I have my biggest challenge and goals.”
It is clear to see that Sané considers his future in Bavaraia, and with contract talks already believed to be underway, it seems as though the 28-year-old’s future will be at the Allianz Arena.
Nevertheless, should Bayern fail to meet Sané’s demands, then the German international would certainly not be short of possible suitors.
