Letícia Santos has rejoined Santos more than a decade after her first stint. The 31-year-old full-back was presented on Friday, 30 and has signed through to the end of the season.

According to Diario Do Peixe, she first arrived aged 16 in 2011, late in the campaign, and did not debut, spending around three months training alongside senior figures such as Maurine.

She describes herself as an attack-minded full-back who understands the need for balance, noting that Santos’ DNA is front-foot football and that the side can handle both sides of the game.

Born in Atibaia, São Paulo, she was part of the Sereias da Vila squad that won the state title in 2011 during a brief spell, then progressed to Brazil’s under-20s and later the senior team.

Called up to the senior Seleção since 2017, she featured at the 2019 World Cup and the 2021 Olympics, and lifted the Copa América in 2022.

At club level she has played for Palmeiras, Bangu, XV de Piracicaba, Kindermann, São José and Corinthians, plus Avaldsnes in Norway and German sides SC Sand, FFC Frankfurt and Eintracht Frankfurt.

The Sereias return to Brazil’s top flight in 2026, with a schedule spanning three competitions, the Brasileirão Feminino, the Copa do Brasil and the Campeonato Paulista. Their opener is slated for 15 February in the first round of the league, with detailed fixtures to follow from the CBF.
