Serie A side Bologna captain Lewis Ferguson’s agent Bill McMurdo reflected on his client’s new role under manager Vincenzo Italiano.
Speaking to TMW after Ferguson guided Bologna to the Coppa Italia title, the player’s agent Bill McMurdo praised him on his adaptable nature and discovering a new role under Italiano. The agent claimed: “He has learned so much from Thiago as a coach and has grown even further as a player with the help of his current coach. He is now playing a completely new role and has adapted well to the new challenge.”
McMurdo noted that Ferguson considers Bologna his “second home” and that he is a “true son of Bologna at heart”. This sends a clear message to the summer transfer market that the Scottish midfielder is not looking to part ways with the Rossoblu.
The Coppa Italia triumph became Bologna’s first title in over 50 years and this is Ferguson’s first major footballing success. With time on his side, the 25-year-old will aim to reach new heights next season when he will captain the Italian side in the Europa League.
