Arsenal will welcome Kairat at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night as they hope to earn a good result at home in the Premier League. The Gunners suffered a disappointing 3-2 loss at the hands of Manchester United recently, so they would be keen on bouncing back by securing a victory in midweek.

Mikel Arteta will opt for the 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make a lot of changes to his first XI for this game. Myles Lewis-Skelly, Ben White and Gabriel Martinelli could all play from the start of this match.

Defence

David Raya will feature in between the sticks for the Gunners after he shipped in three goals in his last outing. William Saliba will operate alongside Gabriel at the centre of the Arsenal backline as they look to keep things solid at the back throughout the 90 minutes.

Mikel Merino, Christian Norgaard and Eberechi Eze will make up Arsenal’s midfield. Their main job would be to retain possession well in the middle of the park and engineer some clear-cut chances in the final third.

Martin Zubimendi and Declan Rice will be available for selection on the bench as they await their chance to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if needed.

Attack

Gabriel Martinelli will try to impress as the left-sided wide player, while Noni Madueke hopes to shine on the right flank. Both of them will get the license to get in behind the opponent’s backline at every chance they can get.

Viktor Gyokeres will spearhead Arsenal’s attack up top. He has to figure out a way to be a constant menace in and around the Kairat penalty area.
