The LFP has elected Pascal Robert and Shéhérazade Semsar-de Boisséson to its board of directors at Wednesday’s general assembly, filling seats left vacant by Pablo Longoria and Fabrice Bocquet.
According to L'Équipe, Robert, Brest’s chief executive, and Semsar-de Boisséson, vice-president of OM’s supervisory board, received 79.51% and 67.80% of the valid votes respectively.
They join fellow Ligue 1 club representatives on the board, Nasser al-Khelaïfi (Paris-Saint-Germain), Loïc Féry (FC Lorient), Waldemar Kita (FC Nantes), Olivier Létang (Lille) and Juan Sartori (AS Monaco).
The general assembly also produced a league statement opposing the football governance law.
Robert and Semsar-de Boisséson will be expected to help French football face major challenges, including the television rights crisis.
