Libertadores win: Midfielder reaches milestone for Corinthians Feminino

On the afternoon of last Saturday, October 18, Corinthians were crowned six-time champions of the Conmebol Women's Libertadores (2017, 2019, 2021, 2023, 2024, and 2025) by defeating Deportivo Cali from Colombia, 6-5 on penalties after a goalless draw in regular time. The trophy was the eighth for midfielder Duda Sampaio playing in the Corinthians shirt – the same number of defeats she has had in matches for the Alvinegro since her arrival in February 2023.

In total, she has played 101 matches for Corinthians, with 75 wins, 18 draws, and eight losses, which corresponds to an 80.20% success rate. Additionally, she has scored 25 goals and registered 22 assists since then. Wearing the number 27, she has won the following titles with the club from Parque São Jorge: Brasileirão (2023, 2024, and 2025), Women's Supercup (2024), Paulistão (2023), and Conmebol Libertadores (2023, 2024, and 2025).

In six matches played by the team in the Women's Libertadores, Duda Sampaio scored one goal – in the 11-0 victory over Always Ready from Bolivia, in the second round of the group stage of the international competition. In the group stage, Corinthians advanced as group leaders with seven points, eliminating Boca Juniors (Argentina) and Ferroviária in the quarterfinals and semifinals, respectively.

The Brabas received a week off after winning another title and will return to the pitch only on November 1, at 11am (Brasília time), to face São Paulo at Fazendinha, in the Majestoso classic for the 11th round of the Women's Paulistão, in which they are already qualified for the semifinals.
