‘Like a brother to me’ – Gavi reveals delight for Barcelona teammate after Mallorca victory | OneFootball

Barcelona star Gavi has on Wednesday evening made clear his delight for teammate Ansu Fati.

This of course comes after the latter was afforded nothing short of a shock start in Barca’s La Liga meeting with RCD Mallorca.

The Blaugrana are fresh off securing another important three-point haul, amid the club’s ongoing pursuit of the title in Spain’s top-flight.

Dani Olmo proved himself the game’s decisive figure, courtesy of a fine left-footed finish early in the 2nd-half.

The aforementioned Ansu, meanwhile, took his place on the left of Hansi Flick’s frontline for the clash, and responded with a lively performance packed with intent in the final third.

Speaking to the media on the back of the full-time whistle at Montjuïc, it therefore came as little surprise when the name of his oft forgotten teammate was put to Gavi.

And the Spanish international was quick to reveal his happiness for Ansu, in explaining:

“We played a great game and I’m very happy for my teammates who are back playing after a long time. Ansu is like a brother to me, and he played a great game.”
