Corinthians will present Jesse Lingard on Wednesday evening, with a press conference at 20:00 at Neo Química Arena ahead of their Brasileirão fixture.
According to Meu Timao, the new No 77 will step onto the pitch at half-time to greet the Fiel.
Corinthians are awaiting his work visa before he can be registered on the BID and be available to head coach Dorival Júnior. The 33-year-old has navigated extra paperwork as a foreigner starting his first spell in Brazilian football.
He has not played since December last year, and could be an option for Chapecoense on 19 and Flamengo on 22, both in the Brasileirão. He has been undergoing intensive fitness work after arriving in good condition at CT Joaquim Grava.
Lingard has signed until the end of 2026, with an option to extend by a further year if contractual targets are met. He spent the past two seasons with Seoul FC, making 66 appearances with 19 goals and 10 assists.
A Manchester United academy graduate, he played 235 times for the club, scoring 35 with 21 assists, and won the Europa League, FA Cup, EFL Cup and Community Shield. He also had several loans in England, later joined Nottingham Forest, and earned 32 caps for England.
Corinthians face Coritiba at 21:30 in the fifth round of the Brasileirão in Itaquera. Dorival Júnior’s side are third with 7 points.
