Lionel Messi responds to Barcelona’s La Liga title win | OneFootball

Barcelona legend Lionel Messi has taken to social media, to provide his response to the club’s La Liga title triumph being confirmed.

Barcelona are of course fresh off adding to the club’s silverware cabinet, on Thursday night.

After making the short trip across Catalunya for a meeting with neighbours Espanyol, the Blaugrana emerged on the right side of a 2-0 result.

As much means that, with two gameweeks remaining in Spain’s top-flight, Hansi Flick’s troops can no longer be caught by 2nd-placed Real Madrid.

Barca’s La Liga title, the 28th in the club’s history, has since been followed by a wave of congratulatory messages from across the world of football.

And as alluded to above, quick to add his name to as much in the early hours of Friday was none other than Lionel Messi.

In a post on his official Instagram account, Blaugrana icon Messi reposted an image unveiled by the club, accompanied by the simple caption:

‘Felicidades!!!’ (Congratulations)
