Inter Milan is reportedly on the verge of securing a targeted reinforcement in midfield. According to Sky Italia, the Lombardy club has set its sights on Curtis Jones, negotiating a loan deal with a €40 million option to buy. The Liverpool player has already given his approval to make the switch to Serie A.

Starting at the Giuseppe Meazza in the Champions League on December 9 during Liverpool's 1-0 win, Jones has featured in 29 matches across all competitions this season. His versatility and elite-level training under Jürgen Klopp have caught the eye of the Nerazzurri management.

This move appears to be part of a transfer merry-go-round. The arrival of the Englishman would pave the way for Davide Frattesi to leave, with a loan move to Nottingham Forest—again with an option to buy—being considered, according to Sky Italia.
