In a recent report, Fichajes mentioned that Liverpool are eyeing a move for Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga. It has been claimed that the Reds are eager to get a deal done for the France international this year.
Camavinga has served an important piece in Real Madrid’s match-day squad but has struggled to nail down a regular first-team spot for them in La Liga. The French talent has banged in two goals and earned one assist in 21 matches for Los Blancos this season across all fronts.
The 23-year-old has anchored the midfield well as he has made 27 tackles, 12 blocks, four interceptions and ten clearances in La Liga. He has even been accurate when distributing possession from midfield after completing 92.4% of his attempted passes in league football (stats via fbref.com).
Camavinga is under contract at Real Madrid until the summer of 2029, which could make it difficult for the Reds to consider this January or at the end of this campaign.

Camavinga is a good tackler of the ball and can read the danger well to earn possession back for his team inside his half. He usually puts his foot through the ball when needed and is an accurate passer of the ball as well.
The French sensation can contribute by scoring and creating the odd goal for his team from midfield. Camavinga is primarily a box-to-box midfielder but can also fill in as a defensive midfielder or as a left-back if required. However, only time will tell whether he can make a smooth transition to life in the Premier League if the Reds manage to bring him on board this year.
We can expect Camavinga to enhance the quality of Liverpool head coach Arne Slot’s defence. He is good enough to compete for a regular first-team spot at the Merseyside club in the coming years.
At 23, Camavinga has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a dream choice for Liverpool to pursue in the winter transfer period or at the end of this season. However, Slot has to give him some time to adjust to life in England before he can get the best out of the player at Anfield.
