In a recent report, journalist Graeme Bailey mentioned that Liverpool are showing interest in recruiting Juventus midfielder Khephren Thuram. It has been claimed that the Reds are set to rival Manchester United in the race to sign the French talent, who is set to commit his long-term future to the Turin club.
Thuram is having a solid campaign at the Italian club as he has put in a series of impressive displays for them at the centre of the park. The 24-year-old has found the back of the net twice and earned three assists in 32 matches for Juve this season across all competitions.
The French sensation is currently among the best central midfielders in Serie A. Therefore, it is no surprise that the Reds are among the clubs hoping to land him this summer.
His current contract at the Allianz Stadium will run out in the summer of 2029, which would make it tough for Liverpool to sign him on the cheap later this year.

Thuram is a good tackler of the ball and can time his challenges well to secure the ball back for his team inside his half. He doesn’t mind putting his foot through the ball when needed and is a tidy passer of the ball as well.
The French talent can even contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals from midfield. Thuram is primarily a box-to-box midfielder but can also serve as a holding midfielder if required. However, there are some concerns over whether he can make a smooth transition to life in the Premier League if the Reds manage to land him.
We can expect Thuram to bring more quality and depth to Liverpool head coach Arne Slot’s midfield department. He is good enough to compete for a regular starting spot at Anfield in the coming seasons.
At 24, Thuram has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a decent option for the Reds to consider at the end of this campaign. All in all, Slot should focus on going all out to bring him to Merseyside later this year.
