Arne Slot has discussed how Liverpool plan to replace Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson this summer.

The latter has been strongly linked with a free transfer to Tottenham, though any move is likely to be dependant on Spurs avoiding relegation to the Championship.

For Liverpool, though, the focus has already shifted towards filling the voids that will be created by Salah and Robertson’s exits but Slot has hinted that the club already have a replacement for the Scotland international.

Speaking on Friday, Slot said: "Last summer we made quite a lot of signings and that is why we traded so much. In the four windows I have been here we have a net spend of £150m I think.

“That shows what kind of club we are.

"We know Robbo and Mo are going to leave, so that means changing two players.

“We also know that Kostas Tsimikas comes back.”

Reports claim that RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande is Liverpool’s top choice to replace Salah, but Slot is unsure as which profile the club will target and also issued an update on Ibrahima Konate.

He added: “I think the first aim is to see how we are acting in the position of Mo. Do we want to replace with a similar player or are we going to do that differently?

“For the rest, at this moment in time I don’t think there’s a chance of other players leaving.

"Of course there’s the Ibou [Ibrahima Konate] contract situation. There might not be such a big need of trading a lot if you don't need to bring new players in."
