In a press conference this Friday, Arne Slot addressed the situation regarding Mohamed Salah. The Reds' manager remains confident in the Egyptian star.

During Liverpool's last two Premier League matches, against West Ham (2-0) and Sunderland (1-1), Arne Slot chose not to start Mohamed Salah in his lineup. Speaking to the media this Friday, the Dutchman assured that he still counts on the Egyptian international.

"For me, every player is a candidate to start, because we have so many good players. Mo has been an exceptional player for us. And I always consider him to start or to come on during the match. He has had a huge influence on this club, on me, and on his teammates for six or seven years. I understand the discussions when I don't play the new signings, so it's only natural that people talk when Mo isn't playing," the coach explained.
