Liverpool and Arsenal Tracking Midtjylland Star as Premier League Interest Grows

Liverpool and Arsenal continue to scan Europe for emerging attacking talent, and attention has now turned firmly towards Denmark. According to Campo, FC Midtjylland winger Dario Osorio has attracted significant interest from a number of Premier League clubs as his reputation continues to rise.

The Chilean international has become one of the standout figures in the Danish Superliga, and his performances have caught the attention of recruitment departments across England.

Rising Talent at FC Midtjylland

Campo report that Osorio has rapidly developed into one of FC Midtjylland’s most valuable assets. His pace, attacking instinct and ability to influence matches from wide areas have placed him firmly on the radar of major European clubs.

“Europe’s football elite have very much turned their attention to FC Midtjylland’s big star.”

Midtjylland are no strangers to developing high level talent, and Osorio appears to be the latest player to follow that pathway. Interest in the winger reflects a growing recognition of the Danish club’s ability to identify and nurture players capable of performing on bigger stages.

Liverpool and Arsenal Among Interested Clubs

Liverpool and Arsenal are both reported to be monitoring the winger’s progress closely. Campo indicate that the two Premier League sides view Osorio as a player with long term potential.

“TEAMtalk mentions a handful of clubs including Arsenal, Liverpool, Bournemouth, West Ham and Fulham.”

Liverpool’s interest in particular is understood to stretch back some time. The club’s recruitment staff have already visited Midtjylland’s home ground to observe the player first hand.

“According to Campo’s information, Liverpool have also followed Osorio for a long time and have been at MCH Arena to scout.”

Arsenal are also known for targeting young, technically gifted attackers, and Osorio appears to fit that recruitment profile.

“Osorio, like for Liverpool, is one of a number of young names Arsenal have in mind.”

Previous Liverpool Approach Rejected

Liverpool have previously explored the possibility of signing the Chilean winger. Campo report that a bid was made during earlier discussions.

“Liverpool have previously made a move for the Chilean star and even submitted a bid of around 65 to 75 million kroner to Heden in exchange for Dario Osorio.”

However, that offer fell well short of Midtjylland’s expectations.

“Without it being anywhere close to something FC Midtjylland would accept.”

Midtjylland’s stance highlights their belief in the player’s long term value, especially as his influence continues to grow both domestically and in European competition.

Contract Extension Strengthens Midtjylland Position

Any potential move for Osorio may now prove even more complicated. The Danish club recently secured the winger’s future with a long term contract extension.

“FC Midtjylland extended the agreement with the Chilean in January, so it now runs until the summer of 2030.”

That agreement significantly strengthens Midtjylland’s negotiating position. Should Liverpool or Arsenal move for the winger again, they are likely to face a far higher valuation.

For now, interest remains exploratory. Yet the presence of multiple Premier League clubs suggests the coming transfer window could become a defining moment in Osorio’s career.

Our View – EPL Index Analysis

For both Liverpool and Arsenal, the report surrounding Dario Osorio is intriguing. Each club has spent recent seasons refining recruitment strategies that prioritise young players capable of developing into elite performers.

Liverpool supporters will recognise a familiar pattern. The club has increasingly targeted technically gifted attackers with strong physical attributes and the potential to adapt quickly to the Premier League. Osorio appears to tick several of those boxes. His speed and directness would suit Liverpool’s attacking transitions, while his age means there remains significant room for development.

Arsenal fans may see the situation slightly differently. The club have built a squad around technically intelligent players who thrive in structured attacking systems. Osorio’s creativity and willingness to attack defenders could add another dimension to their wide options.

Supporters from both clubs will also understand the risk involved. Talent in smaller European leagues often requires careful assessment before making the leap to England.

Still, when both Liverpool and Arsenal show interest in the same player, it tends to signal genuine potential. If Osorio continues performing at his current level, the next transfer window could bring serious movement around one of the Superliga’s brightest emerging talents.
