Liverpool are in line to welcome Conor Bradley back to action in midweek but confirmed a key quartet will miss out.
Arne Slot's side face Brighton in EFL Cup action and ahead of the contest, he provided an update on the fitness of his squad.
"Conor is training with us again so he could be in the squad tomorrow," the former Feyenoord boss confirmed.
"[Diogo] Jota, [Harvey] Elliott and Alisson are not. I'm also not expecting Federico [Chiesa] to be in the squad for tomorrow. It is difficult to say with him he's up and down a bit.
"He trains a few days then goes out again. I don't want to put days or weeks on it. We just want him to be in the best possible shape so no pressure on him."
Wednesday's clash is part of a double-header with Brighton this week, with Liverpool welcoming the Seagulls to Anfield in Premier League action on Saturday after their cup showdown in midweek.
