Liverpool boss Taylor confirms Fisk’s absence for Arsenal | OneFootball

Liverpool head coach Gareth Taylor has confirmed that defender Grace Fisk will miss this weekend’s Barclays Women’s Super League fixture against Arsenal.

The Reds travel to the Emirates Stadium to take on The Gunners on Saturday afternoon.

Defender Fisk withdrew from international duty with England earlier this week. The player sustained a minor calf injury whilst on camp. Fisk’s injury has now been fully-assessed by the Liverpool medical staff and it has been confirmed that she could be sidelined for around 10 days.

Liverpool head coach Taylor provided an official update on Fisk’s condition earlier today and he said “It looks like we will be missing Fisky for the next 10 days, which has come at a really bad time for us.

“It’s a frustrating one and we are quite limited in terms of options with Risa Shimizu still missing.

“Lucy Parry will come into contention but she’s on limited minutes in terms of playing 90 minutes, so we’ll have to wait and see what we do at right-back.”

Fisk is also likely to be doubtful for next week’s trip to Aston Villa which takes place on Thursday 11 December 2025.

Liverpool go to Arsenal this weekend still searching for their first win of the league campaign. The Reds have recently picked up impressive draws with Brighton & Hove Albion and Chelsea.
