Liverpool are preparing for life without Trent Alexander-Arnold (26). The right-back has confirmed his departure from his formative club. With his contract expiring at the end of the season, he is expected to join Real Madrid on a free transfer.
The Merseyside club are already working on signing a replacement and, according to a report from L’Équipe, they have identified two major targets. Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong (24) is the first and the second is AS Monaco’s Vanderson (23).
After three and a half seasons at Monaco, the Brazil international will be allowed to leave the Principality club this summer in the event of a reasonable offer being received. Having secured UEFA Champions League football for next season, however, Les Monégasques won’t be desperate to sell off their most prized assets at any price, however.
Vanderson’s contract at Monaco runs until the summer of 2028. The right-back has previously been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur.
