Arne Slot has already admitted that change is on its way to Anfield next season.

And, while most fans want the Dutchman to be sacked and replaced by Xabi Alonso, it doesn't feel like Fenway Sports Group will be moving him on any time soon.

This obviously means that Slot will be at the centre of their recruitment this summer.

So, with this in mind, it's clear that the rumour mill surrounding the future of Liverpool's recruitment will be working at 100 miles per hour with several new players linked with an Anfield switch each week.

Liverpool have made contact with the representatives of Jacobo Ramon

Virgil van Dijk's contract is going to expire next year which is exactly why Jeremy Jacquet has already been brought in.

The Dutchman has been one of the Reds' best-ever defenders and, when he does eventually exit L4, Liverpool will have a massive void to fill.

Indeed, Ibrahima Konate could easily do this but, if he doesn't extend his contract soon, he could also end up leaving Anfield on a free transfer.

And, while this would be the worst-case scenario for Liverpool, the club clearly have to plan for this which is exactly what they seem to be doing.

That is, according to an update from TEAMtalk who have shared that Liverpool are now on 'alert' about Jacobo Ramon's current situation.

"Real Madrid have informed Jacobo Ramon that they want him to return to the Santiago Bernabeu, but not until 2027, with TEAMtalk able to reveal that the situation has put a host of Premier League clubs on alert, including Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool," they wrote.

"Since making the move to Italy, Ramon has flourished under the guidance of Cesc Fabregas, playing a key role in Como’s surprise push towards a potential UEFA Champions League spot.

"The defender has started over 25 games this season, and his performances have not gone unnoticed.

"We previously revealed that Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, Newcastle United, Brighton Hove Albion and Crystal Palace had all been tracking Ramon’s progress earlier this year.

"Since then, Arsenal and Aston Villa have also joined the list of admirers.

"TEAMtalk now understands that several of those clubs have made contact with Ramon’s representatives, who are open to the possibility of a summer move as interest intensifies."

Jacobo Ramon would be an unreal signing for Liverpool
