Liverpool have been touted as the most likely destination for Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi.

However, Inter Milan are also interested in the England international, according to Sky journalist Sacha Tavolieri.

Liverpool were heavily linked with Guehi last summer, but Palace refused to let go of their captain.

They rejected several bids from Newcastle United, and Liverpool received the same response when they threw their hat in the ring.

Palace’s stance showed how much they value Guehi, but they only shot themselves in the foot, considering the defender is now in the final year of his contract.

With the ‘exceptional‘ 25-year-old unlikely to commit his long-term future to the Eagles despite their excellent start to the season, interested clubs are already lining up.

Guehi is not short on interest, both in the Premier League and abroad. Aside from Liverpool, Newcastle and Chelsea are also in the mix.

The Blues haven’t ruled out the possibility of signing another centre-back next summer and are expected to make a serious push to bring Guehi back to Stamford Bridge.

The England international is considered one of the best centre-backs in the Premier League.

The 25-year-old has bags of experience under his belt, having made 167 appearances for Palace. He is also a key part of the England national team.

Snapping up a defender of Guehi’s experience and quality is a no-brainer, especially when he’s available on a free transfer.

Clubs across Europe are clustering to sign him, and Inter have reportedly taken the lead in the race.

Guehi has his heart set on a move to Real Madrid, who need a centre-back with Antonio Rudiger and David Alaba expected to leave when their contracts run out.

Madrid have made a habit of snapping up some of the best players in the world without paying a penny in transfer fees, and Guehi could join that exclusive list.

Liverpool are looking to rebuild their backline gradually, and Guehi would be the perfect addition to the squad. But they have a real fight on their hands to make it happen.
