It could be a ridiculously massive summer at Liverpool. One €100m transfer over the line - and two more to come?
Florian Wirtz is the headline addition at Liverpool this season. The German was a shock signing from Bayer Leverkusen and a player who could transform the Reds.
Wirtz is, quite plainly, one of the best footballers on the planet. That's the level it took for the club to part with €100m for the firs time in their history.
There's an incredible amount of hype around Wirtz as a result. With good reason - the hope is that he'll lead the attack after Mo Salah and that's about as daunting as task as you can get.
The crazy thing, though, is that Liverpool might be lining up more major signings. Maybe even two more €100m deals.
It's been long reported that Liverpool want to sign Alexander Isak this summer. This could be a British transfer record deal if Newcastle United agree to sell.
The Swede was quite inarguably the best forward in the Premier League last season and is certainly the player Liverpool want up top. We imagine any chance of him arriving depends on Darwin Nunez being sold for a good amount, however, and he's in talks with Napoli.
What's extra notable, though, is that Liverpool are now in the race for Rodrygo Goes. AS reports they're hoping to sign the Brazilian if Luis Diaz leaves the club.
Now, Liverpool didn't enter this summer with any intention to sell Diaz. The interest in Rodrygo is opportunistic, though they've had their eyes on him for a long, long time now.
