In a recent report, journalist Graeme Bailey revealed that Liverpool have identified Red Bull Leipzig winger Yan Diomande as a target. It has been mentioned that the Reds are eyeing a move to secure the services of the Ivory Coast talent this summer.

Diomande’s Impressive Form In German Football

Diomande has managed to shine with his performances on the left side of Leipzig’s attack during this campaign. The Ivory Coast talent has scored 11 times and earned eight assists in 29 matches for the German club this season across multiple competitions.

The 19-year-old is currently one of the most gifted wingers in the Premier League. Therefore, Liverpool would do well to snap him up in the upcoming transfer window.

His current contract at the Red Bull Arena will run out in the summer of 2030, which could make it difficult for the Reds to sign him on a cut-price deal later this year.

Is Diomande A Good Choice For Liverpool?

Diomande has got the pace to cause a lot of problems for his marker and is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet. He has got the vision to create some inviting chances for his teammates in the final third and can strike the ball with venom from long range.

The Ivory Coast talent can chip in by scoring and creating a handful of important goals for his team. Diomande is primarily a left-winger but can also fill in as a right-sided wide player if asked to do so.
