Mohamed Salah (34) is reported to have reached an agreement to join Beşiktaş JK, according to Foot Mercato.

A free agent since leaving Liverpool FC, the Egyptian legend is expected to sign a one-year contract, with an option for a further year, with the Turkish club shortly. In Istanbul, the three-time Premier League winner is set to earn a salary of around €10m, plus €2m in bonuses.

Almost a decade after settling on the banks of the Mersey, where he played over 440 matches, scored 257 goals and won no fewer than eight trophies for the Reds, Salah is now set to experience the fifth country of his illustrious career, fresh from a successful World Cup campaign with the Pharaohs.

Having made 41 appearances under Arne Slot during the 2025-26 season, the Nagrig-born player proved decisive on 22 occasions, finding the back of the net 12 times and providing 10 assists across all competitions.
