Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konaté is set to enter the final year of his contract, with no extension currently agreed, leaving his long-term future at Anfield in doubt.

According to reports, PSG and Real Madrid are monitoring the situation closely and could pursue a move if Liverpool and Konaté do not reach an agreement before the January transfer window.

Foot Mercato has also reported that Konaté has been offered to several top European clubs—including PSG, Real Madrid, and Barcelona—raising the possibility of a transfer as his contract approaches its final stretch.

Liverpool Ready to Secure New Defender

The Telegraph’s Chris Bascombe reports that Liverpool will not submit a fresh cash offer for Marc Guéhi in January and intend to sign him on a free transfer next summer. Having been given permission to meet the player, conduct a medical and agree on personal terms, Liverpool understands that Guéhi sees his long-term future at Anfield.

As a result, Guéhi could replace the Frenchman, as it seems the PSG target could be leaving Anfield after the latest reports.

MARCA recently reported that Konaté has rejected a third contract offer from Liverpool. According to MARCA’s José Félix Díaz, his move to Real Madrid next summer is reportedly well advanced.
