Liverpool midfielder Nagano signs new deal | OneFootball

Liverpool midfielder Fūka Nagano has signed a new contract with the club.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Reds this morning.

The 26-year-old joined Liverpool from National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) club North Carolina Courage in the January 2023 transfer window and the player became an instant hit on Merseyside.

Nagano has made 64 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions to date in which she has scored one goal. She was a member of the team that recorded an excellent fourth-place finish in the Barclays Women’s Super League in 2023/2024.

The move to Liverpool has seen Nagano get her first taste of football in the European game. She has previously played in her native Japan and in America and those experiences have helped her ease into life in the Barclays Women’s Super League.

Nagano is thought to have been the subject of interest from other clubs this summer, however, Liverpool have been able to agree fresh terms with the player and she will continue her journey with The Reds going into the 2025/2026 season. Nagano’s new deal hands Liverpool a real boost as they look to progress in the coming years.
