Reds battle for a deserved point at the Emirates Stadium but the lack of cutting edge was evident
Liverpool failed to tally a single shot on target but earned a very valuable point in a goalless draw away to Premier League leaders Arsenal.
A closely-contested first half saw Arsenal dominate possession, but no breakthrough in the scoreline.
After the break, the match became a little more open but was still scrappy and error-prone.
Arne Slot made his only substitution of the game in the 95th minute, but his starting XI more than did the job as they consolidated fourth place by earning a battling point at the Emirates.

Alisson Becker 6
Given very little to do by an Arsenal team who found Liverpool difficult to break down once again. Saved comfortably from a Bukayo Saka pop shot.
Conor Bradley 7
Almost scored a sensational opener when he struck the crossbar by trying to David Raya following a William Saliba error. Put in plenty of interceptions too.
Ibrahima Konate 6
Played the game at his own pace - which wasn’t much of a hurry - but his passes were clean and he possessed a good aerial threat.
Virgil van Dijk 6
Did well when up against Viktor Gyokeres but found substitute Gabriel Jesus harder to pin down. Led the backline well in a frantic last ten minutes.
Milos Kerkez 6
Defensively pretty good, but his crosses were not great, and he allowed Jurrien Timber and Bukayo Saka just a little too much room to maneuver at times.
Ryan Gravenberch 7
Mopped up very well indeed in midfield as he came up against one of the league’s most impressive midfields. Diligent and disciplined, and classy.

Alexis Mac Allister 7
Really tidy on the ball when looking to weave in between the bodies in the middle of the park and move Liverpool up the pitch. Silky at times.
Jeremie Frimpong 7
Full of energy and had the beating of Myles Lewis-Skelly when he came on to replace Piero Hincapie, though the actual quality of his crossing did leave something to be desired.
Dominik Szoboszlai 6
Was the furthest man forward at times and Liverpool’s most intensive presser. Unable to repeat his free-kick heroics of the return leg back in August, this time blazing one free kick well over the bar and then striking a second just over.
Florian Wirtz 6
Always an out-ball and an option for team-mates to slide the ball to, without having the goalscoring impact he’s had in two of Liverpool’s last three games.
Cody Gakpo 5
A very quiet showing in attack, and committed some needless fouls.
