The Reds are widely expected to sign the Netherlands international, amid reports they have activated the £29.5million release clause in his contract with Bayer Leverkusen.

There were even suggestions on earlier in the week prior to Liverpool’s Premier League clash away at Brighton that Frimpong had completed his medical, having agreed to sign a five-year contract with the new champions of England.

Gravenberch has taken a similar approach to the Liverpool head coach, stressing it is a matter of if his Dutch compatriot will join him at Anfield ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

With that said, the Reds midfielder offered a brief insight as to what supporters can expect from Frimpong should the 24-year-old make the move to Merseyside.

Speaking to Sky Sports he said: "If he does, he will bring a lot. I know him from also from the Dutch team and he is a really good guy.

"Really good qualities so we will see, we have to wait."

Whilst it will be a celebratory atmosphere inside Anfield as the Reds finally get their hands on the Premier League trophy, Gravenberch admits the occasion will be tinged with a little bid of sadness due to saying goodbye to Alexander-Arnold.

He added: "Yes of course, he did a lot for the club. It is a little bit sad because I am really happy with him but obviously we have to say goodbye.
