One player who has already been confirmed to join Liverpool is Giorgi Mamardashvili. He's going to be linking up with Arne Slot after concluding his spell at Valencia this season.

Anfield Watch understands Liverpool signed him for £29m with Richard Hughes playing a key role in the transfer. He's been tipped to go far in the game

But his work in going to be cut out for him at Anfield. Alisson Becker is one of the best goalkeepers in the world and the Brazilian is staying put.

Mamardashvili is going to have to compete with him for the no.1 spot, which is going to be far from straightforward. Although there will undoubtedly be opportunities for him.

Caoimhin Kelleher has played a lot over the last few years despite only being second choice with Alisson picking up a handful of injuries.

Liverpool have clearly made a long-term investment with Mamardashvili. He's one of the most exciting young goalkeepers in world football and it's going to be all about patience.

In a recent interview he has revealed what exactly Liverpool's long-term vision is and it's one that will excite the club's supporters.

Speaking to Geo Team, Mamardashvili opened up about what the club's plans are for him and what his own ambitions are ahead of his arrival on Merseyside.

"They are looking at me as a Liverpool goalkeeper for the next 10 years," Mamardashvili revealed.

He also revealed his plans for the 2025/26 season and ruled out another loan.

"I’m not considering another loan move," Mamardashvili said.

"I will spend next season at Liverpool. I’ll go to Liverpool and give my all, just like I did at Valencia. I’ll work hard every single day.

"In this process, the most important things are patience, training, and dedication. Everything else will follow naturally.

"Training with Alisson will be a great experience - it will help me grow. I’ll gain a lot of valuable experience working with him."

Mamardashvili also revealed what he's looking forward to the most.

"I want to see what Giorgi Mamardashvili will be like at Anfield. Also, listen to the amazing Liverpool anthem at Anfield, how the fans sing it," he concluded.

This is definitely what we want to hear from him. He's a player who is clearly very excited to be joining up with Liverpool and we can't wait to see him in a red shirt.
