Liverpool have been tipped to conduct a midfield reshuffle this summer.

Arne Slot is getting diminishing returns from certain members of his Premier League title-winning midfield. Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister appear a long way beneath their consistent best and Wataru Endo won’t play again this season.

Factor in a contract complication for Curtis Jones - who may be sold - and you can understand why plans may be in place to add a new recruit.

Liverpool and Chelsea want Lamine Camara

The Monaco midfielder is making waves in Ligue 1 - leading to speculation that the Senegal international will move on in the off-season.

Monaco hold all the cards in any prospective transfer and Liverpool are going to have to pay around £60m to land the 22-year-old.

“Chelsea and Liverpool are among the clubs closely monitoring him, having scouted him for some time,” the report reads.

“Chelsea are keen to rejuvenate their midfield, while Liverpool’s tactical approach continues to rely on high-energy midfielders, making Camara an attractive target.

"They’re confident they can afford to wait for an “astronomical” offer. Monaco are open to doing business, but unless someone comes in with an offer in the €65–75 million range, which Premier League clubs are capable of paying, they’ll say no.

"There’s no pressure on them to sell, and they’d rather keep him as his value could rise even further.”
