Liverpool are going to have a fair few tough choices to make in the summer.
Even though Richard Hughes and Arne Slot likely thought that they'd done most of their recruitment for the next few years last summer, it's clear that even more changes need to be made.
In fact, this was already the case before the futures of Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson were even announced but, now that they're definitely leaving, there's even more pressure upon Liverpool's shoulders to find their replacements.
Whoever the Anfield outfit manages to sign in the 2026-27 summer transfer window has to hit the ground running almost instantly.
Otherwise, they could end up in an even worse position than they currently find themselves.
So, with this in mind, it's clear to see why the Reds seem to be getting linked with new players almost every day as, if they even get one transfer wrong, it could be catastrophic.
Even though Kenan Yildiz only recently signed a new contract with Juventus, the Serie A outfit will almost certainly have a price that they'd be willing to sell the Turkiye international for.
The 20-year-old is easily their best player with his versatility being one of his biggest selling points.
He's also a rather impressive creator which is exactly what Liverpool need from their next attacking signing.
And, even though fans thought that their hopes of signing Yildiz were in tatters after he signed his new deal, it seems like the Reds' move for the youngster could be back on.
That is, according to an update from Sports Boom who have shared the following about Yildiz's current situation.
"Kenan’s technical recital on the pitch has mobilised the largest operational centres in Europe," they wrote.
"Seeking a "new icon" in their restructuring period, the Red Devils have made Kenan their top target for Summer 2026.
"It is among the leaked information that United is preparing to knock on Juventus’s door with a package around €90 million, but the Italians found this figure "insufficient."
"London sides are also closely monitoring Kenan’s situation. While it is known that Arsenal admires Kenan’s tactical flexibility to add creativity to their offensive line, Kenan stands as the most valuable piece in Chelsea’s 'young star collection' project.
"On the Liverpool side, the search for a 'young and creative leader' for the post-Mohamed Salah era turns the compass toward Turin. It is claimed that Liverpool is working on an option involving a swap deal and cash.
"Francisco Conceição, also at Juventus, is the Merseyside club's preference however to replace the Egyptian King."
There's obviously no way that Liverpool will be able to replace Salah with a like-for-like player, as, the Egyptian King is one of a kind.
However, the fact that Yildiz has already been compared to Alessandro Del Piero surely means that he's an exceptional talent and that he could have what it takes to replace the former Chelsea man.
Yildiz is ojnly 20 years old means that there's still plenty of time for him to develop into an even better player than he already is which aligns with the Reds' transfer strategy perfectly.
Indeed, Juventus deeming a €90 million (£78.2 million) package as 'insufficient' is a tad worry but, if the Turkiye international is as generational as everyone has made him out to be, he could end up being worth every penny.
which could allow Florian Wirtz to be pushed forward on a more regular basis.
If Liverpool don't get their replacement for Salah right, they could find themselves in some serious trouble.
So, the fact that the Anfield outfit seem to be weighing up all their options is something that should be celebrated by fans.
