Reigning champions Liverpool travel to Selhurst Park on Saturday, aiming to continue their perfect start to the Premier League season.
Arne Slot’s side have won all five of their opening games. A sixth consecutive victory would see them equal the best-ever start by a defending champion, previously set by Chelsea and Manchester City.
The Reds face a tough test against an unbeaten Crystal Palace side. However, Liverpool have a phenomenal away record against the Eagles. They have not lost at Selhurst Park in their last 10 league visits, their longest ongoing unbeaten away run against any side. Maintaining that dominance will be key to extending their winning streak.
Arne Slot has a near full-strength squad for the trip to London, with young defender Giovanni Leoni the only significant injury absentee. Slot confirmed that the 18 year old has torn his ACL and will be out for “around a year”. The manager will be forced into one change from his preferred lineup, as striker Hugo Ekitike is suspended following his red card in the Carabao Cup.
This provides a perfect opportunity for record signing Alexander Isak to make his first Premier League start, after scoring his first goal for the club in midweek. He will be supported by the sensational Mohamed Salah, who has been involved in 51 league goals since the start of last season.
Liverpool predicted XI: Alisson; Frimpong, Konate, Van Dijk, Kerkez; Gravenberch, Szoboszlai; Salah, Wirtz, Gakpo; Isak
The Premier League fixture will be played at Selhurst Park on Saturday, 27 September 2025, with kick-off scheduled for 3:00 pm BST.
The match will not be broadcast live in the UK due to the 3:00 pm Saturday blackout.
